Aboard the Aircraft Carrier USS Lexington

My beautiful mom and I aboard the USS Lexington (USS Lexington Museum on the Bay), a World War II-vintage aircraft carrier, docked in Corpus Christi, Texas! It also served as an attack carrier, anti-submarine carrier, and training carrier. Records show it is as tall as a 19 story building; as long as a three New York City blocks. It carries enough gasoline to drive your car around the world 132 times! The Flight Deck is equal to more than 2 acres of land; you could play 3 football games or 14 basketball games at the same time on the flight deck, and park more than 1,000 cars on it. It is huge! Decommissioned in 1991, it was designated as a Historic National Landmark in 2003.
