Photos of the iconic Brooklyn Bridge taken from the top deck of the hop-on-hop-off tour bus over Manhattan Bridge during our New York tour with my parents one beautiful day. We would later go back and walk on this historic bridge :-), after all, it was dubbed as one of the now many “eighth wonder of the world.”
At approximately 1,600 feet long from granite tower to tower, Brooklyn Bridge is the longest steel suspension bridge in the world when it was completed in 1883. It is 134 years old. It connects the Manhattan and Brooklyn Boroughs over the New York’s East River.
Above is the Brooklyn side and the two boroughs, and the below are showing the Manhattan side of New York City and the granite tower superstructure.
Wordless Wednesday: Brooklyn Bridge, the “eighth wonder of the world.”

So cool! I have to visit the Manhattan Bridge next time I visit New York. I heard the neighborhoods on both ends are interesting.
They are indeed interesting, and lots to do around them..
The Brooklyn Bridge is simply stunning! Great post!
